Painting
in Provence at the height of the Lavender season is an
unforgettable experience for
any artist, as evidenced by the works of the great French
masters. The
classified villages of Provence are kept as they were hundreds of years
ago,
retaining the charm, character and elegance of great historic
periods.
You will be inspired to new heights by the incredible architecture,
beautiful Lavender
fields in full bloom, the culture and welcoming people of the area, and
a
supportive peer group and instructors.
Your Home Away From Home
These
beautiful villages represent our "home base" during your
stay. We will spend time painting at each location, as well as
travel to surrounding
villages and countryside.
 Simiane
la Rotonde - July 1 to July 15, 2010
This workshop includes 14 days stay at la Maison, an 18th century aristocrat townhouse in the heart of Simiane. A few rooms are now opened to guests. Antique Provencial furnishing, and a private garden provide a unique experience. The workshop is extended to 14 days stay to take advantage of the beautiful scenery, lavender fields in bloom and opportunities to paint in the surrounding area as well as Simiane la Rotonde itself. To keep the cost low, there are 12 days of instruction and workshop in a 14 day period. This workshop is available to 8 students, spouses welcome.
